The Honda City facelift is sold in four trims, SV, V, ZX and ZX+, and the choice most buyers face is between the V and the ZX. The V is the value pick on paper, and the ZX is the one that adds the sunroof, the 10.1-inch screen and the wireless charger. Our video asked “V or ZX?” in June, and since then prices have risen and some of the numbers in it are out of date. This guide is the written companion: the Honda City facelift’s prices, engines, safety and features by trim, the October offers, and which variant the reviewers recommend.

Watch the full video above for our trim walkthrough in Hinglish. The written version below is checked and updated.
What the video covers
- Honda City facelift variants, trim by trim, from SV to ZX+ and the e:HEV hybrid.
- Price, features, safety and mileage.
- Whether the V or the ZX is the better buy, and whether the hybrid is worth the premium.
Honda City facelift at a glance
- Launched: 22 May 2026. The trims are SV, V, ZX and ZX+, and the old VX and Sport are gone.
- Petrol: 1.5-litre, 121 hp and 145 Nm, with a six-speed manual or a CVT.
- Hybrid: the e:HEV, 126 hp and 253 Nm, offered only on the ZX+.
- Claimed mileage: 17.77 km/l (manual), 17.97 km/l (CVT) and 27.26 km/l (hybrid), from Honda.
- Safety: six airbags, ESC and hill-start assist are standard.
Honda City facelift variants and prices
Launch prices are from Autocar India, Rushlane and V3Cars. The current figures are from CarDekho and ZigWheels for October 2026, and are consistent with a price rise of about ₹20,800 on petrol and up to ₹35,900 on the hybrid around 9 September, reported by CarWale. Sources differ by a few thousand rupees, so confirm with the dealer.
| Variant | Launch price (₹ lakh) | October price (₹ lakh, approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| SV manual | About 12.00 | 12.00 |
| V manual / CVT | 13.30 / 14.30 | 13.51 / 14.51 |
| ZX manual / CVT | 15.26 / 16.26 | 15.47 / 16.47 |
| ZX+ manual / CVT | 16.15 / 17.15 | 16.36 / 17.36 |
| ZX+ e:HEV | About 21.00 | About 21.36 |
What each trim adds
These features come from Autocar India’s variant guide:
- SV: LED projector headlamps, 15-inch steel wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, push-button start, a rear camera with sensors and TPMS.
- V adds: 15-inch alloys, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected-car features and keyless entry. On the CVT it also gets remote engine start and paddle shifters.
- ZX adds: a single-pane sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, eight speakers, the LaneWatch camera, a wireless charger, rain-sensing wipers, 16-inch dual-tone alloys, leatherette seats, ambient lighting and a rear sunshade.
- ZX+ adds: a 7-inch digital display in the cluster, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a boot spoiler and auto-fold mirrors. The hybrid adds disc brakes on all four wheels and an electronic parking brake.
Safety and ADAS: which trim has it?
Six airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD and hill-start assist are standard. Level 2 ADAS under Honda Sensing includes collision-mitigation braking, road-departure mitigation, lane-keep assist and auto high-beam, and the hybrid adds adaptive cruise control. Sources disagree on which trim gets it: Autocar India says V and above, while CarDekho says ZX and above. The SV has none in either source, so confirm the exact trim with the dealer. We found no Bharat NCAP rating for the facelift.
Engine, mileage and boot
Honda’s own figures of 17.77 km/l and 17.97 km/l for the petrol and 27.26 km/l for the e:HEV are ARAI numbers, while CarDekho lists slightly different ones, so we are using Honda’s. Autocar India’s tests saw about 14.6 km/l on the manual and 14.2 km/l on the CVT in real driving, and CarWale cites hybrid tests of about 24 to 25 km/l. The petrol boot is 506 litres. Sources disagree on the hybrid’s boot, so we are only saying it is smaller than the petrol’s.
October 2026 offers
Auto Punditz, reported through CarHP, lists offers valid through 31 October and subject to stock: up to about ₹1.71 lakh on the ZX and ZX+, up to about ₹1.41 lakh on the V, up to about ₹1.22 lakh on the SV, and only about ₹15,000 on the e:HEV. These are headline maximums and not cash off, as part of each is exchange, warranty and dashcam value. We break down the numbers in our Honda discounts guide.
Which variant is best value?
The sources split. Autocar India recommends the ZX, which has the sunroof, the 10.1-inch screen, eight speakers and the wireless charger, and comes in manual and CVT, and calls the SV the pick for a tight budget. V3Cars’s variant page rates the V as its top pick for both manual and CVT and says the ZX is not a compelling upgrade on the automatic, and that the hybrid breaks even only after about 1.5 to 2.5 lakh km. So the video’s V or ZX framing holds: V for value, ZX for features. The e:HEV is worth it only if you drive very high distances.
A note on our video
Our video was posted in June and its prices are now out of date: the ZX at about ₹15.25 to ₹16.25 lakh is now about ₹15.47 to ₹16.47 lakh, the ZX+ top at ₹20.99 lakh is now about ₹21.36 lakh, and the hybrid premium of ₹3.8 lakh is now about ₹4.0 lakh. The V’s ADAS claim matches Autocar India, but CarDekho disagrees. We could not verify rear AC vents on the SV, a traction-control standard fit, or the Bharat NCAP status. Its comments on rivals such as the Verna, Virtus and Slavia, and on the 360-degree camera quality, are opinion, and we have not checked them against a test.
Should you buy the Honda City facelift?
Buy the V if you want the best value and wireless connectivity, and buy the ZX if you want the sunroof, the bigger screen and the wireless charger. Skip the e:HEV unless you cover a lot of distance. We have not driven the car, and this page uses published specifications and reviewers’ recommendations. Watch the full video for our walkthrough, and see the videos page and Honda Elevate facelift guide.
