Tata Sierra variants now run from about ₹11.49 lakh to ₹21.59 lakh, and the right one for most buyers is Adventure+, which reviewers consistently call the value pick. Our video, posted in July, promised an “expected price” discussion, and that is out of date: prices are official, and Tata has since added a Jubilee Edition, a Legend Series and a Dark Edition. This guide is the written companion to the video and covers the current Tata Sierra variants: prices, engines, safety, what each trim adds and which one to buy.

Watch the full video above for our walkthrough. The written version below is updated for the changes since July.
What the video covers
- A variant-by-variant comparison of the Tata Sierra, with prices and features.
- Engine and transmission options.
- Petrol, diesel and the electric version.
- A buying recommendation.
Tata Sierra at a glance
- Price: about ₹11.49 lakh (Smart+ petrol manual) to ₹21.59 lakh (Accomplished+ Dark diesel automatic) ex-showroom.
- Engines: 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel.
- Safety: 5 stars in Bharat NCAP, announced on 17 March 2026, with six airbags and ESC as standard.
- Boot: 622 litres to the roof, 450 litres to the parcel shelf.
- Ground clearance: 205 mm.
Engines, gearboxes and mileage
According to Autocar India, the car is front-wheel drive in all petrol and diesel forms, and the platform is capable of all-wheel drive. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol makes about 106 PS and 145 Nm with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol makes about 160 PS and 255 Nm with a six-speed automatic, and starts at Adventure+. The 1.5-litre diesel makes about 118 PS with 260 Nm on the manual and 280 Nm on the automatic. ARAI figures are 17.4 km/l for petrol manual, 16.9 km/l for the DCT, 15.3 km/l for the turbo automatic, 21.26 km/l for diesel manual and 19.22 km/l for diesel automatic. Autocar India’s own tests saw about 13.05 km/l for the diesel automatic and 10.1 km/l for the turbo automatic overall, so real mileage is well below the claims.
Tata Sierra variants and prices
Prices come from CarDekho’s Delhi list and Autocar India’s tables, in ₹ lakh ex-showroom. Sources differ in places, so confirm with a dealer.

| Pure | 13.14 | Diesel manual 14.59, diesel automatic 15.99 |
| Pure L(O) | 14.29 | DCT 15.59, diesel automatic 16.99 |
| Pure+ L | 14.99 | DCT 16.29, diesel manual 16.44, diesel automatic 17.74 |

| Accomplished | 17.99 | Diesel manual 18.99, turbo 19.99, diesel automatic 19.99 |
| Accomplished+ | – | Diesel manual 20.29, turbo 20.99 |
The number of variants is quoted differently across sources, from 24 to nearly 60, so we are not giving one.
What each of the Tata Sierra variants adds
- Smart+: 17-inch steel wheels, a semi-digital cluster, six airbags and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. One source says there is no infotainment screen at this level.
- Pure: a 10.25-inch screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, eight speakers, drive modes, TPMS and a rear camera.
- Pure L(O): a panoramic sunroof, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. It is the cheapest route to a sunroof.
- Pure+ L: dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats and a six-way powered driver seat.
- Adventure+: a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a digital cluster, a 360-degree camera, a blind-spot monitor, ambient lighting and 18-inch alloys.
- Accomplished: 19-inch alloys, a head-up display, a 12-speaker JBL system, a wireless charger and Level 2 ADAS.
- Accomplished+: a passenger-side screen, a powered tailgate, an air purifier, an eight-way powered driver seat with memory and the more advanced ADAS.
What changed since our July video
Three things happened. Tata launched a Jubilee Edition on 11 July after 50,000 sales, which is an accessory pack and not a new variant, and no official price was published. On 18 September it launched the Legend Series from ₹11.99 lakh, adding 18 variants that cost ₹50,000 to ₹70,000 more than the equivalent older trims, which are now called the Signature Series. On 21 September the Dark Edition arrived from ₹13.99 lakh, with Friesian Black paint, purple chrome accents and a Violet Eclipse all-black interior. The Legend trims lift some features down the range, for example Pure+ L now includes ventilated seats and the powered driver seat, but we found no reviewer verdicts on them yet, so any call there is ours.
Which of the Tata Sierra variants should you buy?
Reviewers converge. MotorOctane called Adventure+ the best mix of features and price, Spinny calls it the best overall value, and ZigWheels’ best-variant article says “Adventure should be your pick”. Pure is the budget pick and the cheapest way to an automatic, CarDekho’s budget choice is Pure, and Accomplished is for buyers who want ADAS and the full equipment. We would add that the Pure L(O) is the cheapest sunroof, and the new Legend trims are untested by reviewers.
Sierra EV and offers
The video mentioned an electric version, and the Sierra EV launched around late June or July 2026 as a separate model, from about ₹18.79 lakh to ₹25.99 lakh. Claimed ranges differ by source, with CarWale giving 565 km for the 63 kWh pack and 665 km for the 75 kWh pack, and another site saying about 600 km, so treat the range as a claim. For the petrol and diesel cars, offers of up to ₹30,000 were reported for 1 to 31 October, where you pick one of exchange, scrappage or loyalty. We found no current waiting period.
A note on our video
Our video’s description is generic and gives no numbers, so nothing in it is wrong, but it is out of date. It promised an “expected price” discussion, and prices are now official. It predates the Jubilee Edition, the Legend Series and the Dark Edition, and the electric Sierra is a separate model with its own trims. We have not driven the Sierra, and the recommendations above are reviewers’ views and not our own test results.
