Four new cars partly covered by teaser sheets next to a red launch calendar

Upcoming car launches in India for the rest of October and November 2026 include the Renault Duster Hybrid on 17 October, the Hyundai Bayon on 26 October and a handful of debuts, but about half of the cars in our September “Diwali launches” video have already arrived, and two have no confirmed date at all. This page is the written companion to that video, rechecked on 15 October. It sorts every car on the list into launched, upcoming with a date and no date yet, and gives a dated calendar of the launches that are actually confirmed, so you know what to wait for and what to stop waiting for.

Watch the full video above for the original list. The written version below is updated for what has launched since 12 September.

What the video covers

  • Eleven new cars and facelifts expected around Diwali 2026.
  • The Duster Hybrid, Slavia, Elevate, Glanza, Virtus, a JSW SUV, Carens CNG, Clavis CNG, Carnival Hybrid, XL6 and Thar facelifts.

Upcoming car launches at a glance

  • Already launched (5 of 11): Skoda Slavia facelift, Honda Elevate facelift, Kia Carens CNG, Kia Carens Clavis CNG and the Mahindra Thar facelift.
  • Upcoming with a date or window (3): Renault Duster Hybrid, Toyota Glanza facelift and the JSW SUV.
  • No firm date (3): Volkswagen Virtus facelift, Maruti XL6 facelift and Kia Carnival Hybrid.

Upcoming car launches: what has already launched

Car Launched Price (ex-showroom)
Mahindra Thar facelift, branded Thar OG 22 September From ₹10.32 lakh; introductory prices for deliveries by 30 November
Kia Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG About 19 September Carens Premium(O) ₹12.12 lakh, Clavis HTE ₹12.39 lakh, Clavis HTE(O) ₹13.35 lakh
Skoda Slavia facelift 6 October From ₹10.00 lakh to ₹18.84 lakh
Honda Elevate facelift 6 October From ₹11.80 lakh to ₹18.40 lakh

Some details. The Slavia is a facelift and not an all-new car as the video’s “New Skoda Slavia” implied, and per Autocar India its 1.0 TSI automatic now uses an eight-speed torque converter and it has no ADAS. The Carens CNG and Clavis CNG each cost ₹1 lakh more than the equivalent petrol manual, use a 1.5-litre engine of 96 PS with a six-speed manual only, and are the first factory-fitted CNG versions, since an earlier dealer-fitted kit cost ₹77,900. The Thar’s top-end price of ₹18.99 lakh is the less certain figure, and the Thar facelift’s launch name differs from what our video used. We cover the Elevate in our Elevate facelift guide.

Upcoming with a date or window

The Renault Duster Hybrid launches on 17 October, with bookings open at ₹21,000 and a claimed 29 km/l, but no price yet. It is in our Duster Hybrid guide. The Toyota Glanza facelift was due to debut on 14 October, and Autocar India called that a debut and not a price launch. We found no price, and a headline claiming ₹6.99 lakh could not be verified, so do not rely on it. A new 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, CNG and possibly ADAS are expected but unconfirmed. The old Glanza range was ₹6.73 lakh to ₹9.99 lakh. The JSW SUV based on the Jetour T2 is reported to be called the Combat, a plug-in hybrid, with an expected November launch, though JSW’s managing director promised a launch before Diwali. The price is disputed: JSW targets ₹15 lakh to ₹30 lakh while Autocar India estimates about ₹38 lakh to ₹40 lakh.

Upcoming car launches with no firm date

  • Volkswagen Virtus facelift: only spy pictures, and the portal dates of 25 October and November are estimates.
  • Maruti XL6 facelift: not launched. Suzuki showed an XL7 facelift in Indonesia on 29 July, and a portal lists a tentative October launch, but Maruti has announced nothing.
  • Kia Carnival Hybrid: a 1.6-litre turbo strong hybrid with 180 hp and 265 Nm, with pre-bookings opened around 11 September, no date and no price. The diesel Carnival costs ₹59.65 lakh.

Confirmed launch calendar: 15 October to 30 November 2026

Date Car Note
15 October Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG Debut; pricing may not be included
16 October Audi Q3 (third generation) Bookings ₹1 lakh; price on launch day, estimated ₹55 to ₹60 lakh
17 October Renault Duster Hybrid Launch and price
About 18 to 19 October VinFast VF3 Reported, not confirmed
26 October Hyundai Bayon Date from Hyundai’s release; price not announced
4 November Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric Date listed by Autocar India; estimated price ₹80 to ₹85 lakh

The Bayon’s date comes from Hyundai’s own 12 October release, and some portals show conflicting timing, so go with Hyundai. Our Hyundai Bayon guide has the detail. Several other dates are tentative portal estimates and should not be treated as fact: the Maruti Fronx facelift, Toyota Urban Cruiser facelift, Hyundai Inster and Mahindra Thar Electric concept, all listed for November. See Autocar India’s October launches list for its own calendar.

A note on our video

Our video was posted on 12 September, and its description gives no dates or specifications, so little in it is wrong, but parts are out of date. The “around Diwali” framing is fair. It listed the Thar facelift as expected, and it has launched, with a different name and price than the 2025 facelift. It called the Slavia “new”, while it is a facelift. The Virtus and XL6 facelifts were listed as Diwali arrivals but have no confirmed dates, so do not wait on them. Diwali is on 8 November, and the confirmed launches above mostly fall before it. We have not driven any of these cars, and this page uses launch reports and calendars as of 15 October, so recheck the Glanza and Duster Hybrid prices.

What to wait for and what not to

Worth waiting for: the Duster Hybrid price on 17 October and the Bayon price on 26 October, if one of them fits your budget. Not worth waiting for: the Virtus and XL6 facelifts, which have no date. Watch the full video for our original take, and see the videos page and upcoming cars.
